With the HinzTec - G3Bridge, it is now possible - for the first time ever - to transmit and receive a fax page worldwide via the efficient digital HF PACTOR media without a PC. PACTOR was developed by SCS - Special Communications Systems GmbH & Co.
The only equipment required to transmit a fax page is a HinzTec - G3Bridge, a PACTOR- station, and any fax machine conforming to the G3-standard. You enter a destination phone number just as you would with a regular fax transmission over the telephone network. This number is derived from the call sign and is therefore unique. This number can be stored in the fax unit to simplify and speed up the call procedure for future use.
With the HinzTec - G3Bridge, benefits include the standalone, secure and efficient transmission for text and images. By combining the HinzTec - G3Bridge and the PACTOR Station, you can communicate with others anytime, anywhere - even when land lines are unreliable or unavailable.
Even though the HinzTec - G3Bridge was initially developed for use in emergency situations, this technology is also utilized in maritime or isolated locations. In catastrophe situations, the HinzTec - G3Bridge is an ideal tool for the “on site” manager, as it requires a minimum of attention to operate.
With the fast and effective transmission media PACTOR-III, average transmission time for a fax page is between 3 to 8 minutes. This time depends on the fill factor of the page and more importantly on the link quality.
For the daily use of the HinzTec - G3Bridge all you need to know is the operation of the fax unit. No PC is required, which saves time, space, money, and increases the overall system reliability.
The ability to easily update the firmware in your HinzTec - G3Bridge rounds out a state of the art development.
